Do you think it is important to maintain tribal languages? Why, why not?

I think it is important to maintain tribal languages. The first reason is that tribal language is an ancestral language. It comes from our ancestors. We have to protect our own language and maintain it for our next generation. Second, a tribal language is also the way to identify ourselves. Each group has their way to connect each other. That’s unique. No one can’t imitate or take away. The last reason is that a tribal language is a very important part of a country. It represents the history, culture and difference of a nation.
A tribal language means a way of life, and was a great contribution to society. Without language, our life seems don’t exist.

What are the advantages of wearing a uniform?

In Taiwan, we have to wear it since elementary school. I think there is truly have some advantages of wearing uniforms.
For example, the parents don’t have to spend the extra money to make their children to meet the latest fashion. They can spend less money on clothes and fashionable apparel. Uniform can also help to eliminate the tense culture and economic difference s among the students. The parents’ income is no longer determined how well their children dress at school. And the there is also a possibility of violence due to the article of clothing. If a student is dressed up similar to a member of a gang, another student who is not in favor of that gang might plan an attack towards that person. Every parent would like their children to be as safe as possible during school, with uniforms their children will be safe and secure at school. The last is that the school uniforms can help to promote discipline inside of the school. This structure creates a strong learning environment and improves the students’ behavior and attitude towards studying. Because of the learning atmosphere created by uniforms, students are more likely to concentrate on their schoolwork.
I think the advantages of uniforms are by-far ahead of the disadvantages of uniforms. Therefore, I believe every school should use uniforms.

what do you think is the most dangerous-cars, car drivers or other road users?

I think is the car drivers. Because that is the car drivers control the car, not the car controls the driver. Almost the 80% car accidents are caused by the driver’s behavior. For example: they drink before driving. The first one is becoming a major concern in society today. Drunk driving is not a funny thing. It has killed many people and ruined the lives of many others. Drinking is not necessarily a bad thing, if you are a responsible drinker. It’s all about taking responsibility for your own actions. It seems so ridiculous that people don’t have the common sense to know they may cause mass destruction if they are drunk behind the wheel. The Alcohol will slow down their body reactions, the working of the brain and double vision. After just one drink, a driver can lose their ability to drive the car. Last year, my auntie was hit by a drunk driver while driving with his friends to the movies. Luckily she was not seriously hurt, but her life might be ruined because of that person. I believe that anyone that is caught while drunk should never have the chance to drive again! I hope that one day; we won’t have this problem anymore.

Beauty contest

I think that beauty contests are not outdated. It’s simply human nature to look at beautiful people. Some people may say that’s superficial but we also have to admit that is true. Why the entire movie stars either beautiful or gorgeous? Because we love to see the beautiful things. And there are an other advantage that is the pageants can promote cultural exchange. There are some people may say the beauty contest is exploiting the women and it should be banned.. Sorts like that. But we could also take it in broader way, we can think those beauties are representing their culture in the big stage which have larger viewer around the world. And also can have the opportunity to travel around the world. Today, the contest of beauty may be not up to mark but someday it will.

What the music means to me

Music is the second most important thing in my life. The first is my family. For me, music is not just rhythm, melody, or harmony. It’s a therapy, learning, and a vehicle for expressing motions. Since I was child, the music is played around me. It keeps me balanced. The music is everything to me.

The music is a therapy because it can help me relax, if I got too much pressure. And there would be time that I can’t sleep at night, I will play some jazz, and then I will be fine. When I feel upset or very annoyed, I like listen to the rock. It can help me to vent my angry.
The reason that I called the music is learning is because when I have some trouble I will listen to music and let the song drown my problem. And it’s always helpful. I believe that in some ways music can helps us.

The last one is a vehicle that can expression the emotions. For instance, when you're going to make a serious decision that you don't want someone telling that you can’t make it, or some music playing that just rubs your problems in your face. You want some soothing music that will at least bring some happiness back into your life. Then you can find the right music like the blues) to help you.

The music means everything for me. Without it the world is empty. I can not live without the music.

choosing school

After the transfer exam, the students need to choose the college which the best for them. But before choosing the college, student should consider two major factors. For me, I need to think about the financial ability, the distance and the type of school.
First, I have to consider the costs. If I choose the school in Taipei, the rent for a house and the daily costs are the double of Taichung. I want to lighten my parents’ load. It’ cost too much.
The other one is the type of the school. Not all colleges are the same. Different schools have their specific areas, like engineering or history. My major is English, so I will choose the liberal arts school. And there still have other differences, like the schools are public or private and are single sex or coed.
The last one also the important one to me is the distance from home. For some people, going to college is a chance to get away the home and experience the life. For others, like me, want to make sure that they can have a dinner with family once a week. And all my friends, my families and my dogs are live in Taichung. So I can’t leave home too long.
In fact, the reason why I chose the school that I study right now is because I just feel that’s the fright place to me. That’s gut feeling. I think the most important thing is the place that you feel right. If you feel wrong, no matter how good that school is or who wants you to go there, you just don’t choose it. College is a very personal choice, you have to consider all the objective factors, in the end, you just choose which you most interested and which you feel the most right for you.

the normal day

In Saturday, I usually get up at 8:15 am and go out at 10:00 am. It takes about 10 min to 15min from my flat to the bus stop. Before I get out my house, its just like the normal day. In the way to get the bus, I see the deers sit near my bus stop, and waiting the bus. I check the bus arrive time on the broad, but the bus time is keep running. I was a little confused.
The bus is coming. I got on the bus and also the deers, no one feel strange and even have a look. I usually listen to music while I gotta my work place. When I take out my ipod, the one them starring at me and seem like want to listen. I asked and borrow it. It’s quit strange watch my ipod used by an animal.
After thirty minutes, I came in my coffee shop and prepare for a new day. Everything is the same as yesterday, people eat their breakfast, watch a newspaper.
A women is talking the cell phone, the two couple next to her is kissing. I try not to notice that smocking cat which sit right front me.
3pm, I come off the work. I really want to go home. I called a taxi, cause I don’t want take bus right know. I’m hungry and tired. My lunch was taken away by a monkey.
Finally, I came back to my home. I just pass another normal day, the day same as the yesterday.
